What To Do With A Box by Jane Yolen & Chris Sheban

Preschool & Kindergarten
If you give a child a box, who can tell what will happen next? It may become a library or a boat. It could set the scene for a fairy tale or a wild expedition. The most wonderful thing is its seemingly endless capacity for magical adventure.

This book reminded me of the good old days, where reality hadn’t sunken in yet and everything was good.

My favorite thing to do as a kid was to sit in a large cardboard box for hours. I kind of feel bad that my parents bought me all these toys and my favorite thing  to do was to draw on a box. For any parents reading this, save your money on some fancy toy and give your kid a large cardboard box every now and again. I think some kids would be ok with that.
